Mental Health Support Fund for Southern California Fire Surviors and First Responders
The destruction caused by the recent Southern California fires has left countless survivors grappling with unimaginable loss and trauma. At Heartstrings Counseling, a 501(c)3 corporation, we understand that healing from such devastation is a complex and emotional process. We have created the Heartstrings Counseling Southern California Fire Fund
Our initiative is to provide free video/telehealth counseling sessions for fire survivors. We plan on taking the Heartstrings Healing Express RV to Southern California to gift copies of Sifting Through the Ashes: Finding Beauty, Peace, Love, and Strength Through Trauma.
This inspiring book is a collection of real stories from those who survived the devastating Camp Fire of November 8, 2018 in Paradise, California. Through these stories, readers are invited to journey alongside the survivors as they share their experiences, search for strength and resilience in the face of tragedy, and know they are not alone. Additionally, clinical guidance is provided to help readers process their own experiences of trauma and grief, as well as tips for self-care and healing. This book encourages readers to find beauty, peace, love, and strength amidst the ashes of trauma and to emerge stronger. It is a powerful reminder that we can all rise above even the darkest of moments and find hope in the midst of darkness.

Our therapists are ready to help Southern California survivors process their trauma and find their path to recovery. Healing Express
Our mobile crisis and disaster counseling program, Heartstrings Healing Express, was launched in March 2021. The Express is a newly-renovated RV designed to bring Heartstrings Counseling therapists to the site of crisis or disaster events anywhere in California. This allows us to transport our services and offer counseling support to those affected by events such as wildfires, mass disasters, and circumstances where immediate on-site counseling is needed. We also work with first responders and their families.
Donations at Heartstrings Counseling are tax deductible to the extent allowed by the law. We will send you an annual statement for accounting purposes.
